Professional Development and Training at CRAMLI

"From Theory to Practice: Real-Life Skills for Real-World Behaviour."

At CRAMLI, we deliver expert training and professional development (PD) programs designed to equip participants with the practical knowledge, clinical insight, and confidence required to understand and respond to complex behaviours across a range of settings. Our programs are grounded in evidence-based practice, trauma-informed care, and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), ensuring alignment with contemporary research and regulatory standards.

Our Core Training Programs

Understanding and Responding to Challenging Behaviour: A Trauma-Informed Approach
This program provides a practical, evidence-informed foundation for understanding and responding to behaviours of concern through a trauma-informed lens. With a developmental focus on children and adolescents (Prep–Year 12), the training integrates research on trauma, brain development, and behavioural science to support safe, ethical, and effective practice. Participants develop skills in early identification, proactive intervention, and relational approaches to behaviour. Click Here for upcoming PDs

Mental Health First Aid - General

This program provides participants with the knowledge and practical skills to recognise, understand, and respond to common mental health concerns. Grounded in evidence-based practice, the training supports early identification, appropriate intervention, and effective support strategies in both personal and professional settings. Participants will learn how to approach conversations with confidence, provide initial support, and connect individuals to appropriate help. Click Here for upcoming PDs

Understanding Offending Behaviours
This session explores the complexity of offending behaviours, including typologies, underlying drivers, and the role of trauma. Participants gain insight into risk factors, protective factors, and evidence-based approaches to risk management, behaviour change, and rehabilitation.

Understanding Challenging Behaviours (Introductory)
An accessible entry point into behavioural support, this program introduces key concepts such as the function of behaviour, environmental influences, and foundational response strategies. It builds confidence in recognising behaviour as communication and responding in a consistent, supportive manner.

Managing Challenging/Problematic Behaviours (Advanced)
Designed for experienced practitioners, this program focuses on advanced behavioural analysis and intervention. Participants develop skills in conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBAs), analysing behaviour patterns (including ABC data), and designing targeted, data-driven interventions for complex presentations.

De-escalation and Regulation Strategies
This training equips participants with practical, real-time strategies to safely respond to escalation. Grounded in regulation-first approaches, participants learn how to recognise early warning signs, implement de-escalation techniques, and support individuals to return to baseline safely.

Trauma-Informed Practice and Care
Participants learn how to apply trauma-informed principles in everyday practice, shifting from a compliance-based approach to one grounded in understanding, safety, and connection. The session focuses on building trust, reducing re-traumatisation, and supporting long-term engagement.

Building and Enhancing Resilience
This program supports both staff and participants to develop resilience through emotional regulation, adaptive coping strategies, and reflective practice. It emphasises sustainable wellbeing and capacity-building in high-demand environments.

Managing Inappropriate Sexualised Behaviour
A critical and sensitive area of practice, this training supports participants to identify, understand, and respond to inappropriate sexualised behaviours in a safe, ethical, and legally compliant manner. It integrates trauma-informed perspectives with risk management and safeguarding responsibilities.

Custom Professional Development Workshops
CRAMLI offers tailored PD solutions designed to meet the unique needs of organisations. These workshops are developed in consultation with key stakeholders and can be aligned to organisational policies, frameworks, and compliance requirements. Delivery is interactive, practical, and directly applicable to real-world settings.
